• GENERAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Jewellery is made of precious materials that can last a lifetime if taken care of accordingly.

To keep your jewellery in good condition, It is recommended to take it off before sleeping, showering or exercising.
Avoid contact with cosmetics like perfume, lotions and hairspray.
Store it in a dry area as moisture in the air can lead to tarnishing, be sure to wipe and dry the piece if it gets wet.

    HOW TO CLEAN

Just like a garment, a piece of jewellery needs to be cleaned and polished occasionally to maintain it’s brilliance.

Fill a small container with warm water, add a few drops of hand- or dish washing soap.
Let the piece soak in this solution for 5 minutes and use a soft bristled tooth brush to gently remove dirt.
Be careful not to drop the piece as it can become slippery.
Rinse with warm water and dap dry with a soft (jewellery)cloth.

Please keep in mind that this method does not remove the oxidisation/tarnishing off silver.

    SILVER

All of Nhat-Vu Dang’s jewellery has parts made of sterling silver, a material that naturally oxidises/tarnishes when exposed to moisture and sweat.

Some of the pieces are pre-oxidised to achieve a blackened surface that is part of the design. This surface will naturally brighten with wear and develop silver highlights. We recommend the warm water and soap method to clean pre-oxidised silver.

For high polished pieces, please follow below method for a simple and eco-friendly way to remove the tarnish off your silver.

    You need:

    • A small bowl

    • Aluminium foil

    • Baking soda

    • Boiling water

    • Silver polishing cloth

Step 1: Line the bowl with aluminium foil

Step 2: Add 1 to 1,5 tablespoons of baking soda

Step 3: Pour in boiling water and let the piece soak in this solution for 15 min, longer when heavily tarnished.

Step 4: Remove the piece from the bowl (hot!) and polish with a silver polishing cloth

Repeat the process in case of heavy tarnishing.

This method is not suited for pearls and stones as the baking soda will act as an abrasive and will dull the surface of the material. Please keep these materials out of the solution when soaking the silver.

    PEARLS

Pearls are vulnerable to chemicals in cosmetics like hairsprays and perfumes. Which is why it’s best to put on your pearls after your make-up and hair are done and take them off when you get back home. It is good to wear pearls regularly to keep them hydrated but do not soak in water for prolonged amount of time. Wiping your pearls down regularly helps remove oils and pollutants that can eventually stain or damage the pearls.

    EYELOCK CHAINS

The Eyelock chains are made of a combination of stones and silver. We recommend to only use the baking soda method on the clasps and leave the silver links in between the beads to oxidise/tarnish naturally. Only use warm water and mild detergent to clean this part.

  • We recommend to get your fingers measured with a size gauge at a jeweler to get the most accurate size.
and check the ring size chart

Otherwise you can use below measuring technique:

Take a string or strip of paper 2mm wide and 100mm long.

Wrap it around the base of your finger making sure it fits snug, but isn’t too tight.

Mark the string/paper where it overlaps to form a circle.

Measure the length and compare it to the chart (using this measurement as your circumference).

When taking your finger measurement, make sure you do it a few times over a period of a day or so in order to gauge an accurate size. Your fingers react to warm and cold environments. If you are between sizes, order the larger size.
